Although new to the rock and roll landscape in their current iteration, CTI are no strangers to Cleveland's musical scene. Kevin Kless (Dead Buckeye Six) and Michael Kinsella (oldboy) have successfully breathed new life into their decades old collaboration. And with the addition of the explosive drum and percussive stylings of Kevin Suman (Listen Little Man, oldboy), CTI has managed to take this musical experimentation to the next level. Drawing inspiration from bands such as The Pixies, TV on the Radio, R.E.M. and The Ass Ponys/Wussy, Copper Thieves INT'L have powered back onto the playing field with a catalog and an energy that will inspire thought, imagination, inspiration and action.
The Sibs
The Sibs
Ruby and James Beil grew up in a musical family. Playing old time and bluegrass in a family band in western PA, you can imagine little Jimmy on drums and little Ruby screeching away on the fiddle. Amazing what 20-some years of musical exploration can do! You'll now find Ruby digging deeper into longer sonic wavelengths on bass, and Jim rhythms on the drums. The Sibs are a rock and roll reunion. Jim and Ruby came together in the fall of 2005 in Cleveland. This duo combines sculptured, powerful vocals; solid and creative bass lines; quirky and funky drum beats. As of 2010, guitarist Eric Toth joined the band making the sound complete with dynamic guitar to weave it all together. Ruby's voice is intense and she takes acrobatic leaps of texture, tone, and octave with a mature and natural grace. This siblings plus new guitarist, Eric are having fun and you can see it in the way they play off each other, a raw accessible energy. Their songs are packed with emotion yet light enough to get your feet moving. The Sibs played their debut show in May, 2006, as part of the Cleveland Music Fest. They played their first show with the legendary Alan Chaffee on drums in Erie, PA in Dec., 2006. The Sibs would like to thank Alan for his dedication to the tunes, forever incredible drumming, and for the recordings he's worked so hard on.
